The TLX model from Acura was intendedly designed to be a sports sedan, because Acura wanted to introduce a car that can boast of nurturing comfort and driving capability in equal proportion. At the Henderson Acura dealership, we got the opportunity to take a closer look at the 2019-year model of TLX, and here is a brief note on what we have observed.

What’s New for 2019?

With the 2019 edition the TLX enters the competitive market with a few noticeable updates. We first  noticed a new 19-inch wheel as a part of the trim package that particular model we were observing. The base model now comes with a four-cylinder engine which has the option to get an A-Spec package to wear that aggressive look. With this package, the base model can have an exterior styling that will be class-exclusive with those 19-inch wheels and the dark chrome accent. The package will  also include a set of changes for the interior like heating and cooling options for the front seats and wrap the cabin in red and black accents.

The Outside Look

Whenever the 2019 Acura TLX starts, its bejeweled headlights will instantly grab your attention and its broad five-sided diamond-mesh grille will make your gaze still for some more time. If you have opted for the A-Spec package, then the visual appeal of your base model will be enhanced with the addition of stylized front bumper that look attractive with its lower intakes. As mentioned above, the dark chrome grille and the newly added 19-inch wheels would look glorious, if you choose the new color option named as Platinum White Pearl.

Cabin Comfort

The cabin of the 2019 Acura TLX gives you an instant feeling of quality assurance that not many its class can offer. Needless to say, that Acura has never compromised in quality of the materials and the comfort of the seats. Being the least expensive cars among its segment, Acura TLX carries with it a well-appointed cabin with an elegant layout, allowing enough space for everything, be it for the driver controls, passengers, luggage space, headroom, legroom and some extra space to stretch. The intelligent design makes getting in and out of the 2019 Acura TLX is a breeze for all ages of passengers.

Power Pack and Performance

The 2019 Acura TLX continues with two powertrain options of engine and transmission. One is a V-6 engine with all-wheel drive configuration which can create a 290-hp and the other is the four-cylinder engine maintained as the standard with rear-wheel configuration for improved steering and cornering. At the Henderson Acura dealership, we were informed that the Acura has made the four-cylinder model available with the A-Spec package to make it sportier in its performance, while the V-6 version is given an A-Spec setup for quicker steering and a stiffer suspension. With all this, the 2019 Acura TLX certainly can be counted among the fun to drive vehicles in its class.

The Bottom Line

As an affordable luxury sedan, the 2019 Acura TLX has become a more desirable car for the majority of people who are assured with its active-safety features and infotainment options.

As the Editor-in-Chief of 8Blogs.com, she leads the editorial vision of one of the web's most ambitious business and industry publications — a platform dedicated to delivering sharp, credible, and actionable content for professionals, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders across the globe. Abby's journey into the world of professional writing and editing began long before her byline appeared on any publication. Growing up with a natural curiosity for how businesses work, how economies shift, and how leadership shapes organizations, she found herself drawn to the intersection of journalism and business from an early age. That passion led her to Ohio University — one of the United States' most respected public research universities, located in Athens, Ohio — where she pursued a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Communications. Ohio University's School of Media Arts and Studies gave Abby a rigorous academic foundation in editorial ethics, news writing, investigative reporting, audience analysis, and multimedia storytelling. It was here that she developed the disciplined writing habits and critical thinking skills that would define her professional career. She graduated with a deep understanding of what separates good content from truly great content — and a firm commitment to always delivering the latter. Before stepping into a full editorial role, Abby gained invaluable real-world experience through internships at newspapers, regional magazines, and online publishing companies. These early career placements were formative. Working in fast-paced newsrooms taught her how to research under pressure, verify facts rigorously, and write with clarity and precision on tight deadlines. Her internship experiences also gave her a front-row seat to the rapid transformation of media — from print-first thinking to digital-first strategy — a shift she embraced fully and has championed ever since. Over the following six to seven years, Abby built a diverse and impressive portfolio spanning writing, reporting, editorial assistance, and content strategy. She has covered topics ranging from startup ecosystems and venture capital trends to leadership philosophy, workplace culture, global trade, and emerging technologies. Her work is consistently praised for being well-researched, reader-friendly, and genuinely insightful — never sacrificing depth for the sake of brevity, nor clarity for the sake of complexity. At 8Blogs.com, Abby oversees a broad editorial mandate that spans twelve content categories including Entrepreneurship, Finance, Marketing, Technology, HR, Sustainability, and Global Business. She sets the tone, maintains editorial standards, and ensures that every article published reflects the publication's core values — integrity, depth, and practical intelligence. When she is not editing or writing, Abby stays close to the business world through industry events, professional reading, and mentoring emerging writers who are just beginning their own editorial journeys.
